Our Mission Statement

Canine Companions is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors and disabled individuals through canine companionship.

Our primary goal is to help alleviate loneliness as well as helping to overcome the two primary obstacles that prohibit canine ownership; training and expense.

It is our objective is to properly match and place trained companion animals in homes that best suit their living environment where the adoption cost and the required training for a suitable companion may otherwise prevent companionship.

Our program is also designed to increase the social interaction between our recipients and other individuals who would like to become more involved in their community through our volunteer program.
